Monica is a successful entrepreneur who co-founded and runs Miraglilo Properties, a construction company that has fully developed more than 75 homes in the Philadelphia area. Despite facing challenges in a heavily male-dominated industry, Monica has achieved much personal success and now seeks to give back by helping other women gain access to similar opportunities.

In October 2020, Monica launched GirlBuild, an empowerment initiative for women in the construction and development industry. The program aims to grow a community that shares the necessary resources and tools for women to succeed in the construction space. Monica is passionate about providing women with the knowledge and skills needed to pursue careers in construction, or at least gain a better understanding of the industry.

Through GirlBuild, members have access to online recorded construction classes and become eligible for private funding after classes for their first build, without any concerns about credit or capital. Monica envisions a community of empowered women who have the tools to build not only their homes, but also their lives and dreams.

In addition to her work in construction, Monica has a background in fashion and brings a unique perspective to the construction industry. She also provides a vision for construction outfits that are different from the traditionally worn clothing.
